David Lyndon is a Welsh-born actor and drama
practitioner who has worked internationally in the
performing arts, appearing opposite such
distinguished and varied names as
Daniel Craig, Sarah Brightman,
Shane Richie, Tamsin Greig, Michael Praed,
Wendy Craig, Jonathan Pryce, Michael Barrymore,
Hinge & Bracket, Tommy Steele, Vicki Michelle,
Lesley Joseph and Nicol Williamson. |

A
first-class honours graduate of the University of
Birmingham’s Department of Drama & Theatre Arts,
David was also a leading member of the National
Youth Theatre of Great Britain for several seasons.
Subsequent professional roles have included
Frank’n’Furter in The Rocky Horror Show
(Casino de Paris & Teatro Nuovo, Milan); Boone
in Whistle Down the Wind (national tour);
Gerry in Dancing at Lughnasa (New Vic
Theatre, Stoke); Danny in Dreaming Amelia
(Hijinx Theatre); Konstantin in The
Seagull, Leigh in Can’t Pay? Won’t
Pay! and Bassanio in The Merchant of
Venice (Swan Theatre, Worcester); Sky
Masterson in Guys & Dolls, Oberon
in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and The
Dentist in Little Shop of Horrors
(Aberystwyth Arts Centre); Victor in Yerma
(Battersea Arts); Jaques in As You Like It
(Dudley Castle); Topper in Scrooge
(national tour); Richard in Barkin'
(Grassroots Productions); Caliban in The
Tempest (Teatro Nucleo, Ferrara); Haydn
Jenkins in Goat Street Runners
(Lighthouse Theatre); Plebeian
in Julius Caesar (RSC, Barbican) and
France in King Lear (Clwyd Theatr Cymru).
West End appearances include the role of Hugo
in Aspects of Love (Prince of Wales Theatre)
and concert versions of My One & Only,
Nine and The Hired Man. In pantomime he
has played Prince Charming more times than he
cares to remember. |

David
works in both English and Welsh television where his
credits have included the returning character of
Fenner in the BBC Cymru soap Pobol y Cwm, as well as
roles in Iechyd Da and Darn o Dir.
On the Welsh-language stage he portrayed the
tortured evangelist Evan Roberts
in the large-scale musical Hen Rebel for
Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru, and he also provided the narration for several episodes
of the popular series Five Days
in… for BBC2, which documented the lives of some
extraordinary individuals inhabiting familiar Welsh
towns. On film he has appeared as
The Man in Hidden and Dom in
Change?. |
